About this tool
Most invoice tools want an account before they will let you type a line item, and every one of them uploads your customer list to somebody's server. This one is a page: fill the form on the left, watch the invoice build on the right, download the PDF. No sign-up, no upload, no limit on how many you make.
Your invoice data never leaves your device. The form, the totals, the preview and the PDF are all produced by JavaScript running in this tab. Nothing is transmitted, nothing is saved on a server, and closing the tab discards everything — so keep the PDF you download.
How to use this tool
- Choose GST or non-GST at the top — this decides which fields appear.
- Fill in your business details and, if you have one, upload a logo.
- Enter the customer's details. For a GST invoice, pick both state codes so the tax splits correctly.
- Add your items with quantity, rate, any discount and the GST rate.
- Optionally add bank details, a UPI ID with a payment QR, notes, terms and a signature.
- Check the live preview, then press Download PDF or Print.
What the Invoice Generator does
Both invoice types are supported. A GST invoice adds GSTIN fields, an HSN/SAC column and a proper CGST/SGST/IGST breakdown. A non-GST invoice drops all of that and produces a plain bill — which is what you want if you are below the registration threshold or supplying exempt goods.
The split between CGST/SGST and IGST is decided by the two state codes you pick. Same state means the tax is halved into CGST and SGST; different states means the whole amount is charged as IGST. That is the actual rule, applied automatically, and the invoice shows which one was used.
Because nothing is stored, the invoice exists only while the tab is open. Download the PDF before you close it.
How the totals are worked out
Worked example
Example: ₹25,000 of consultancy at 18% GST
| Taxable value | ₹25,000 |
| Same state — CGST 9% | ₹2,250 |
| Same state — SGST 9% | ₹2,250 |
| Total | ₹29,500 |
Bill the same work to a customer in another state and the tax becomes a single IGST line of ₹4,500. The total is identical at ₹29,500 — only the split changes, and the split is what decides which government gets the money.
What your result means
The CGST/SGST versus IGST split follows the two state codes. Get those wrong and the invoice charges the wrong tax, so check them before sending.
The round-off line appears when the total is not a whole rupee. Indian invoices are conventionally rounded to the nearest rupee and the difference shown.
The amount in words is generated from the total using the Indian lakh/crore system, which most customers and auditors expect to see.
Things to watch out for
- Invoice numbers must run in an unbroken sequence for a financial year. This tool does not remember your last number — keep your own record.
- A GST invoice legally needs your GSTIN, the customer's GSTIN for B2B supplies, HSN or SAC codes, place of supply and the tax split. All of those are here, but entering them correctly is your responsibility.
- This is not an e-invoice. Businesses above the e-invoicing turnover threshold must additionally generate an IRN on the government portal — a printed invoice from any tool does not satisfy that requirement.
- Nothing is saved. Download the PDF before closing the tab, and keep your own copies for your records.
- HSN/SAC codes and GST rates change. Confirm the rate for your goods or services rather than assuming 18%.
- The UPI QR encodes your UPI ID and the invoice total. It is generated in this tab and no payment is processed here — the customer's own app handles the payment.
Limitations of this tool
- The PDF uses the standard PDF fonts, which cover Latin characters only. Devanagari and other Indic scripts will not appear in the download — use Print instead, which uses your browser's own fonts.
- The rupee sign is not in the standard PDF font set, so the downloaded PDF writes amounts as "Rs." The on-screen preview and the printed version both show ₹.
- No data is saved between visits: there is no customer list, no invoice history and no numbering memory, because that would need storage this tool deliberately does not have.
- One tax rate per line. A single line item cannot carry two different GST rates.
- No e-invoice IRN, no QR from the government portal, and no e-way bill.
Frequently asked questions
Is my invoice data uploaded anywhere?
No. The form, the calculations, the preview and the PDF are all produced by JavaScript in this tab. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no account and no database. The trade-off is that nothing is remembered either — download the PDF before you close the tab.
When should I use CGST + SGST instead of IGST?
CGST and SGST apply when the supplier and the place of supply are in the same state, split half and half. IGST applies at the full rate when they are in different states. Pick both state codes and the tool applies the correct one automatically.
Is this a valid GST invoice?
It produces an invoice carrying the particulars a tax invoice normally requires — GSTINs, HSN/SAC, place of supply and the tax breakdown — but validity depends on you entering them correctly and on your own GST obligations. It is not an e-invoice and carries no IRN. Check with your accountant.
Can I use it without GST?
Yes. Choose "Non-GST invoice" and all the GST fields, the HSN column and the tax breakdown disappear, leaving a plain bill.
How does the UPI QR work?
It encodes a standard UPI payment link containing your UPI ID, your name and the invoice total. It is drawn in this tab by a QR library served from this site — no payment service is contacted and no payment happens here. Your customer scans it with any UPI app.
Why does the downloaded PDF say "Rs." instead of ₹?
The standard PDF fonts do not contain the rupee sign. Rather than emit a character the font cannot draw, the PDF writes "Rs." The preview and the printed version both show ₹, so use Print → Save as PDF if the symbol matters.
Is there a limit on invoices or items?
No. There is no cap, no watermark and no paywall. Long invoices flow onto additional PDF pages automatically, with the table header repeated.
