Documents & Photos tools
Exam photos, signatures, KB limits and print sizes. 6 free documents tools.
Indian application portals reject photographs for reasons they rarely explain properly: wrong pixel dimensions, a file over 50 KB, a signature that must sit between 10 KB and 20 KB, or a scan at the wrong DPI. These tools do that work entirely inside your browser — your image is never uploaded to any server — and target an exact file size rather than merely "compressing" it.

When these tools are useful
- A form demands a photo of an exact size in KB and pixels.
- You need a signature scan trimmed and sized for an online application.
- You want a printable sheet of passport photos from one image.
- You need to check whether an image has enough resolution to print.
Documents & Photos — common questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. All image processing uses the HTML canvas inside your own browser. The file never leaves your device and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
How does the tool hit an exact KB size?
It re-encodes the image as JPEG repeatedly, searching for the quality level whose output lands just under your limit, and reduces dimensions if quality alone cannot get there. The result is the largest file that still fits your limit, which is what portals expect.
Are the preset photo specifications official?
They are common values for widely used Indian application forms and are provided as a convenience. Specifications change between notifications — always confirm the size, dimensions and background requirements in the current official notice before you upload.
