What the PDF Page Size Converter does
Each page is rendered at 200 DPI, then placed on a new page of the size you choose, scaled to fit while preserving its proportions. Nothing is stretched — a Letter page becomes an A4 page with slightly different margins, not a distorted one.
Because pages are re-rendered, the result is image-based and text is no longer selectable. That is unavoidable when changing page dimensions: the entire layout has to be scaled as a unit.
How to use this tool
- Check the current sizes with the page size checker so you know what you are fixing.
- Select the PDF and choose the target size. A4 portrait is the Indian standard.
- Choose whether to fill the page or leave a printable margin.
- Press Convert page size and download the normalised document.
How pages are rescaled
Each page is rendered at 200 DPI, then placed on the new size:
Scale = min(available width ÷ image width,
available height ÷ image height)
A single scale for both axes preserves proportions, so nothing
is stretched. The scaled page is centred.
Target sizes in points (72 points = 1 inch):

Worth doing before printing or binding, and worth avoiding if the document needs to stay searchable.
What your result means
Every page comes out the same size, which is what makes printing and binding predictable.
Text becomes an image. If the document must remain searchable, do not convert — fix the source documents instead.
Landscape content on a portrait page will be scaled down considerably. Convert those pages separately, or choose landscape.
Important considerations
- Convert as the last step, after merging and reordering, since the output is no longer easily editable.
- Content close to the page edge may end up very close to the printable margin. The margin option guards against that.
- Converting A4 to A5 halves the area and makes small text hard to read. Check the result before printing a batch.
- A document with both portrait and landscape pages cannot be normalised well in one pass — split it and convert each part.
- Keep the original. This conversion is not reversible without quality loss.
Limitations of this tool
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened without the password.
- Processing happens in your device's memory, so very large documents can be slow.
- Damaged or partially downloaded files cannot be parsed.
- Pages are rasterised, so text is no longer selectable, searchable or accessible.
- A single target orientation is applied to the whole document.
- Custom target dimensions are not offered; only the five standard sizes.

How do I convert a Letter PDF to A4?
Select the file, choose A4 portrait and convert. Each page is scaled to fit A4 while keeping its proportions.
Will the text stay selectable?
No. Changing page dimensions requires re-rendering the layout, which turns pages into images. Keep the original if searchability matters.
Why did my landscape pages come out small?
Because landscape content scaled to fit a portrait page must shrink considerably. Choose landscape orientation, or split those pages out and convert them separately.
Can I set a custom page size?
Not here — the five standard sizes are offered. For custom dimensions, use the the A4 image-to-PDF route route by exporting images first.
