Passport Photo Sheet PDF

Fill a full sheet with passport photos and get a print-ready PDF.

This is the full-sheet version: rather than a set number of copies, it fills the page. A single A4 photo print costing ₹20–₹30 yields up to 25 passport photographs, which covers years of forms and applications.

Your images never leave your device. They are read and processed by your browser and written into a PDF in memory. Nothing is uploaded.

What the Passport Photo Sheet PDF does

The layout is the same as the passport photo PDF tool, defaulted to fill an A4 sheet. Photographs are placed at exact millimetre dimensions with cutting guides between them, and additional pages are added if you ask for more copies than fit on one.

There is also an image version of this tool, which produces a JPG instead of a PDF. Use the image version if a print shop wants a photo file; use this one if they want a PDF or you are printing at home.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload one correctly cropped photograph.
  2. Set the photo size — 35 × 45 mm for Indian passport photographs.
  3. Set the number of copies high enough to fill the sheet. On A4, 25 fits at the standard size.
  4. Keep the cutting guides on, then create the sheet.
  5. Print at 100% scale on photo paper and cut along the guide lines.

How many fit on a sheet

On A4 (210 × 297 mm), 10 mm margins, 3 mm gaps: 35 × 45 mm → 5 columns × 5 rows = 25 photos 25 × 35 mm → 6 columns × 7 rows = 42 photos 50 × 50 mm → 3 columns × 5 rows = 15 photos On A5 (148 × 210 mm), same settings: 35 × 45 mm → 3 columns × 4 rows = 12 photos Extra pages are added automatically when the copies requested exceed what fits on one sheet.

Worked example

Example: a full A4 sheet

Against a studio sheet of eight for ₹150–₹250, the saving is substantial and the photographs are identical.

What your result means

Print at 100% scale with no "fit to page" or "shrink to fit" setting, or the physical size will be wrong. Check the printed result with a ruler.

Cut carefully. A guillotine or steel ruler and blade gives much better edges than scissors, and cut edges are noticed on formal applications.

Store the spares flat, away from heat and light. Inkjet prints fade if left in a wallet.

Important considerations

  • Photo paper matters more than the printer. 200 gsm or heavier, matte or glossy, is what offices expect.
  • Print one sheet and check the size with a ruler before printing several.
  • Different applications want different sizes — check before printing 25 of the wrong dimension.
  • For a JPG rather than a PDF, use the image sheet maker.
  • Home inkjet prints on photo paper are usually acceptable, but a print shop gives more consistent colour.
  • Photograph specifications are set by each notification or portal and change between cycles. The dimensions here are configurable defaults, not a guarantee that any particular department will accept the output. Always confirm the required size against the current official instructions.

Limitations of this tool

  • Images are capped at 2400–3000 pixels on the longest side to keep memory use manageable on phones.
  • Photographs are embedded as JPEG, so PNG transparency is flattened onto white.
  • Perspective distortion cannot be corrected — photograph the page square-on for the best result.
  • Cropping and framing are not adjusted — the photograph must already be correct.
  • Printer margins vary; the outermost photographs may clip on some printers if the margin is set very low.

Frequently asked questions

How many passport photos fit on an A4 sheet?

25 at 35 × 45 mm with 3 mm gaps and 10 mm margins. Smaller 25 × 35 mm photographs fit 42.

Is this different from the existing photo sheet maker?

Only in output format. That one produces a JPG image; this one produces a PDF. Use whichever your print shop prefers.

What does it cost compared with a studio?

One A4 photo print is ₹20–₹30 at most Indian print shops and yields 25 photographs — under ₹1.50 each against ₹150–₹250 for a studio sheet of eight.

Can I put different photos on one sheet?

No, this tiles a single photograph. Run it twice and print both sheets if you need two different photos.
